How to Program Remote Control

Connecting to the TV

  1. Connect the Alfabox to your TV via AV cable (yellow-white-red). The color of the plug at the AV cable should match the color of the connector on the back of your TV. For better quality use digital HDMI cable (purchased separately).
  2. Connect the 12V power adapter to the DC 12V socket on the Alfabox and plug it into an electrical outlet. The LED on the front of the box will turn blue.



After connecting Alfabox to your TV, make sure the input setting you’ve selected on your TV matches the input you connected the cables to on your TV. Check which cable connects Alfabox to TV (AV or HDMI) and follow the steps below:

  • Find and press button INPUT or SOURCE on the remote from YOUR TV
  • You should see different input options on your TV (AV1, HDMI1…etc)
  • If your Alfabox is connected to the TV via composite cable (A/V), select one of the inputs: AV / AV 2 (Video 1 / Video 2),
  • If your Alfabox is connected to the TV via HDMI cable, select one of the inputs: HDMI 1, HDMI 2, HDMI 3 or HDMI 4. The name of the input is always written on the back of your TV next to the connector.
  • If you selected correct input you will see Alfabox logo on the screen, If you don’t see it, try different Input

Connecting to the Router and TV

The Alfabox can be connected to the router via LAN cable (wired connection) or via WiFi antenna (wireless connection).

  1. Connect the Alfabox to your modem/router using the Cat5 cable.
  2. Connect the Alfabox to the TV via Composite (A/V), or HDMI cable
  3. Connect the Alfabox to the power and wait until it loads.
  4. On the home screen select icon with the service you have subscribed to and press OK.
  5. You will see a list of channels. Select a channel and press OK to start.

Connecting to the Router and TV via WiFi antenna (wireless connection)


  1. Connect a WiFi receiver to the Alfabox via USB Port (front or back)
  2. Connect the set-top box to the power and wait until it loads
  3. On the home screen, you will see:  “Page loading error”.
  4. Select System Settings and press OK on your Alfabox remote control.
  5. From the menu select Network → Wireless(WiFi) → Auto (DHCP). You will see a list of available wireless networks.
  6. Select YOUR NETWORK NAME and press OK on the Alfabox remote. You will see the following options:
    • SSID (your network name)
    • Authentication mode (do not change)
    • Encryption (do not change)
    • Key or passphrase (your WiFi password).
  7. Select “Key or passphrase” and put there your wi-fi password, which your Internet company gave to you. You can find it on the bottom of your wi-fi router or in registration paper from the provider.
    7.1. Press the “keyboard” button on the remote control – you can find it below  “Setup” button with letters “KB” on it.
    7.2.  After you will see the keyboard, look at your password and fill it to the field one letter after another. When you will type the last symbol  – DON’T PRESS “OK”,  but press on keyboard button (“KB”) and keyboard will disappear. Only after that, please, press “OK”.
  8. After you are done press “Home” button three times and press “OK” on the first option “Try again”.  If then you won’t see the list of your subscription that means your password was incorrect. You should check it and repeat the steps above.
  9. Select Restart Portal and press OK on the remote
  10. In the main menu, select the icon that corresponds to your service, then presses OK.
  11. You will see a list of channels. Select a channel and press OK to start.
